Target Audience: Those working in or preparing for leadership roles in Employment Service organizations.

In Employment Service, workers are frequently advanced to supervisory or management roles without the opportunity for formal training. Although there is frequently peer mentorship, it is important for those moving into leadership roles to understand and develop competency in the basic skills required, how to incorporate their organization’s culture and values, using their own personality and style, as well as balancing the expectations of their funders. This training was created to assist new and emerging leaders in Employment Service to develop and expand on leadership skills. The training will include techniques and best practices, interspersed with interactive, small group activities and case studies for practice and sharing of ideas. This allows for learning from each other as well as from the facilitator.
